You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong before asking for help

Perhaps homework takes far longer than it should. Your child’s results don’t reflect their effort. Or they’ve started saying, “I’m just rubbish at this.”

They might also be doing well and ready for more challenging work.

Tell me what you’ve noticed. I’ll help you explore which type of tuition could suit your child.

A comfortable place to learn

Some children arrive ready to ask questions. Others need time before they feel comfortable showing what they don’t understand.

We have experience supporting students with anxiety, autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia. Tell us what helps your child and what they find difficult, so we can discuss suitable support.

For online maths groups, options such as keeping cameras off and using private chat can make participation feel more manageable.

Your child doesn’t have to arrive feeling confident. We can help them take the next step.

Hello, I'm Sandra

I’m the founder of Saltash Tutors and a former classroom teacher.

I teach the secondary maths groups and work with a team of qualified, experienced teachers who offer individual tuition across a range of subjects.

What I enjoy most is finding the point where something starts to make sense: when a student explains their thinking, asks a question they’ve been holding back or says, “Can I try the next one myself?”

That’s why I want students to feel comfortable showing us their mistakes. Their working tells us where to begin.

Looking for help reaching Grade 4 in maths?

My Grade 4 Maths programme gives students a clear route through 100 key skills, with explanations, practice and regular review.

It helps students work through gaps in their knowledge and build towards tackling GCSE Foundation questions with greater confidence.

We had a 92% pass rate in 2026.

Let’s find suitable support for your child

You don’t need to choose a tutor or decide between group and individual lessons on your own.

Send me your child’s year group, the subject they need help with and a little about what’s happening. I’ll let you know about suitable options and available spaces.
